Building Guidelines

Cape George Colony Club adheres to Jefferson County building regulations, with a few additional requirements designed to preserve the character and harmony of our community.

Community-Specific Requirements

  • Minimum Home Size: All homes must include at least 1,000 square feet of living space.
  • Height Restriction: Structures may not exceed 17 feet in height, measured from the highest point of the property grade.
  • A 25-foot setback instead of the 20 foot the county requires. 
  • Tiny Homes: Please note that tiny homes are not permitted under current community guidelines.
